BlurbForge ("we", "us") is an AI-powered book-marketing copy tool for self-publishing authors, operated as a sole proprietorship based in Texas, USA. You can reach us at support@blurbforge.app.
Account data: your email address (used for passwordless sign-in) and optional profile details (display name, main genre). Content data: the book titles, synopses and related inputs you type into the generator, plus the outputs produced for you. Billing data: handled entirely by our merchant of record, LemonSqueezy — we never see or store your card details; we only receive your customer id, plan and subscription status. Technical data: hashed IP addresses (never raw IPs) for rate limiting and abuse prevention, plus basic usage events.
To provide the service: authenticate you, generate marketing copy from your inputs, keep your history and favorites, manage your subscription and credits, send transactional emails (welcome, subscription status, payment issues), and prevent abuse. With your explicit consent, we may send occasional product updates to your email — you can unsubscribe at any time.
Your synopsis is sent to our AI provider (Z.ai) solely to generate your requested output. We chose Z.ai partly because the data processing terms for its API services limit processing to providing the service and state that content you provide or generate through the API is not stored after processing. We do not share your inputs with other users and never sell them. Outputs are stored in your private history so you can access them later; you can delete them at any time.
We use: Supabase (database & authentication), Z.ai (AI generation), LemonSqueezy (payments & tax compliance), Resend (transactional email), and our VPS hosting provider. Each processes data only as needed to deliver the service and is bound by its own privacy terms.
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and preference storage (theme, accent color, language). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual generations from your history at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address above and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and US state privacy laws such as Texas TDPSA), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.
We protect your data with row-level security on every database table, encrypted connections (TLS), server-only secret storage, hashed IP logging and strict access controls. No method is 100% secure, but we design the system to minimize what could ever be exposed.
BlurbForge is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we change this policy materially, we will post the new version here with an updated date and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
